TOTAL transformation..

I was SHOCKED to say the least. Pate let me flat iron her hair this morning. First of all her hair is so much longer than I imagined. And second, it aged her a couple of years. It makes her look like a TOTALLY different kid. She loves it!! She said "mommy, Im not BIG perm anymore". Now, I may have started something that I will regret bc this isnt a "quick" fix by any means, but atleast we have more options now.  

Putting up the Christmas Tree

It started off as a family affair and then slowly the kids dropped like flies. JT was all gung-ho till something better came on tv. He did make it through putting on all the branches and fluffing them out. Pate stuck with me the whole time but wasnt much help. Had to replace every ornament she put on. They were all on the same branch. Oh well, she helped. Half way through she wanted to dress up like a princess and the reindeer "Bella" had to be in every pic. I still need a topper for my tree but it is almost there.

Im pooped!

Well, my shopping plan didnt go as "planned" but ended up ok. Was going to go to walmart for 12 oclock deals but fell asleep with Pate and got up at 11:40. Ran to walmart but that was a joke. Didnt even want to attempt the lines and crowd (walked in and turned right around and walked out). So, I got up and around the next morning and went shopping and got ALL I was after but one thing. Should have just planned it that way and could have slept a little better. Did a little online shopping and think I am about 75% done. The hardest person to buy for this year is JT. I have no clue what to get him and the three things he has mentioned Ive told grandparents to get, so Im left with nothing. Pate is so easy this year. She literally has asked for everything on every commercial so she is easy to please. Jen and Jon are in town so we are just gonna hang out at home tonight and relax and Craig is gone to cheer on the Rebels. Too cold for this chica.
 Oh!! Forgot to update on our roller experience. DID NOT go well. Back to square one for my "BIG perm" as we call her. Poor thing, hopefully some day I will have an epiphany on what to do that with that hair. :0)

Pate's hair!!

For those of you that know Pate, you know Pate's "hair". It has been the challenge of my life. So, we are trying something new. Rollers!! I know she has the curliest hair you will ever see but we are thinking the rollers will make the TIGHT curls, loose. So, here is the before pic. I will try and post a after pic later.

This is one of the sweetest group of kids I have ever had. I am very thankful for each of them.

Guilt...

So, when JT was in preschool and younger grades I didnt miss a thing for school. Well, Pate comes home today and ask me "why didnt you come to school today and watch me sing? All the mommys were there". Guess we missed that note! Today was their Thanksgiving celebration and all grandparents were invited to come and celebrate and watch them sing. So, major guilt I am feeling. Im sure it wont be the last time but I just hate that I cant go back and fix it. I just pray she wasnt the only one without someone there with her. Anyway, its a short week and I am thankful that I have a job that I can be off with my kids when they are off. I need to go get busy and make brownies for JTs feast at school tomorrow. I havent been to anything for JT this year so I am really looking foward to it. Hopefully I can post some pics tomorrow. One more day of work, I can do this. :0)

Another great weekend

Its been a busy weekend. Holiday Market Friday night with a sweet friend. Didnt find all that I was hoping but was still a fun time. Saturday, painting with mom on their new house, church and dinner out. Today has been pretty relaxed. Lunch with a friend and a little play time with Pate and Landon. Craigs out hunting and I need to get out and go to walmart but Pate has yet to have a nap and that is a must before I can go anywhere. Hoping to upload some recent pics today but may be later this week. Well, off for a run and then maybe walmart can happen. :0)

Our Life

Our life in a nut shell. Craig and I have been married for 12+ years. Our son JT is 10 and is in the 5th grade this year. Pate is 3 (about to be 4). We officially adopted Pate Dec. 18th 2009. We prayed for yrs for another baby and  for years I wondered why God wasn't answering our prayers. Well, He had a plan for us. I am a big believer in "everything happens for a reason". Its just part of "our plan". We are trully blessed!

Here We Go

So I have been thinking for a while about starting a blog. Not so much for others to see but for my kids to see years down the road. I post on fb, but there are some things that I dont post bc I just dont think everyone cares (hate to bore others). So, now those friends and family of ours that want to see a little more into our life, can. Here we go............
